First, you need to disconnect the truck’s negative battery cable.

Now, you need to loosen the equalizer nut of the bracket that attaches the parking brake cables to the bottom of the truck using a wrench.
Step 3
At this stage, you need to disconnect the front cable from the middle cable. When the front cable is disconnected, disconnect the middle cable from the main bracket. Press the tangs to the cable casing with the needle-nose pliers and then pass the wire and cover with the next bracket.
Step 4
Now you need to follow the wire to the front of the truck and remove it from all the other brackets.

In the last step, you need to remove the parking brake pedal assembly and simply disconnect from the pedal assembly.
Place the carpet on the back of the truck, remove the wire grommet in the floor pan, and remove the wire from the truck.
